BARCELONA - On matchday three in Group B of the UEFA Youth League, Inter’s Under-19 side lost by a single goal at the Mini Estadi in Barcelona. The match against reigning champions Barcelona ended in a 2-1 win for the hosts. A great display in the second half with a Facundo Colidio goal wasn’t enough for Armando Madonna’s side to return home with a point. The match started with the Nerazzurri in difficulty after four minutes as De La Fuente opened the scoring, firing beyond Dekic with a left-foot strike. De La Fuente continued to cause problems for the Inter defence around the tenth minute while Madonna’s side looked to respond through the attacking duo of <a href="http://w0pp.inter.it/en/squadra/G1018/eddie-salcedo" title="Eddie Salcedo, Attaccante: His career, technical characteristics, statistics and number of appearances. From a corner, Mortimer picked the ball up at the edge of the area, won a couple of challenges and went clean though against Dekic who saved the first attempt but he couldn’t do anything about the rebound.

At the beginning of the second half, Inter tried to shake things up, with Madonna changing the team’s shape and bringing on Roric and Grassini. Colidio was looking a threat, and just two minutes into the second half he won a penalty and then beat Tenas from the spot to reduce the arrears. This goal gave the Nerazzurri more confidence, with the team coming forward in search of the equaliser. And they nearly drew level, too, with both <a href="http://w0pp.inter.it/en/squadra/G1018/eddie-salcedo" title="Eddie Salcedo, Attaccante: His career, technical characteristics, statistics and number of appearances. The Primavera had a final chance after the 90-minute mark, but Adorante’s header from inside the six-yard box didn’t find the back of the net. It wasn’t to be for Madonna’s side, and they will have to now get ready for their next match against Juventus in the league on Monday at 17:00 CET.

BARCELONA 2-1 INTER
Goalscorers: 4' De La Fuente, 34' Mortimer, 48’ Colidio (pen.)

BARCELONA: 1 Tenas; 2 Jaime (67' Sergi Rosanas 12), 3 Comas (73’ Marcos Lopez 14), 4 Rojas, 5 Bravo; 8 Kourouma, 6 Sanz, 10 Monchu (73’ Antonio Jesus 15); 7 La Fuente, 9 Ruiz, 11 Mortimer (80’ Fati 18)
Bench: 13 Vila Rovira, 16 Peque, 17 Serrano
Coach: Denis Silva Puig

INTER: 1 Dekic; 2 Zappa, 4 Nolan, 17 Rizzo, 3 Corrado; 8 Gavioli (73' Merola 10), 5 Pompetti (46' Roric 19), 16 Schirò (92' Demirovic 13); 7 Mulattieri (46' Grassini 14), 18 Colidio, 11 <a href="http://w0pp.inter.it/en/squadra/G1018/eddie-salcedo" title="Eddie Salcedo, Attaccante: His career, technical characteristics, statistics and number of appearances.
