UNDER-17 SERIE A AND B, INTER 3-0 CAGLIARI

Andrea Zanchetta's team score three to defeat Cagliari thanks to Sakho's double and Esposito's penalty

MILAN - At the Suning Youth Development Centre in Memory of Giacinto Facchetti, Andrea Zanchetta’s Inter defeated Cagliari on matchday six of the Under-17 Serie A and B season. A double by Sakho and a goal by Esposito secured the win, with Inter now topping the table on 16 points.

Zanchetta’s team began on the front foot and poured into their opponent’s half of the pitch as they looked to take the lead. The opening goal did eventually come after half an hour as Sakho headed in Moretti’s cross as Inter made their pressure count. The first half ended with the Nerazzurri deservedly in front. It was the same story in the second half as Inter added two more goals: first Esposito converted a penalty to double the lead and then Sakho fired home after Cagliari’s goalkeeper couldn’t hold Cester’s effort, with this effectively ending the match as a contest.

Andrea Zachetta’s team are top of the league after five successive wins and will play an away game against Udinese next time out.
