<p><strong>MILAN</strong> - For Inter fans (and others too) who experienced it, the summer of 1997 was an unforgettable one. After complicated negotiations, Massimo Moratti’s Inter signed <strong><a href="https://www.inter.it/en/archivio_giocatore/G0556">Ronaldo Luis Nazario da Lima</a></strong> from Barcelona for a record fee of 48 Billion Lire. The deal saw the Nerazzurri fans immediately fall for the Brazilian who was the best player in the world at the time.</p> <p>Despite often being waylaid by injury, <strong>Ronaldo</strong> showed all of his quality during five seasons at Inter, leaving memories of pure footballing joy. Overall, he made 99 appearances, scoring 59 goals and he won the 1997-98 UEFA Cup.
