#DERBYMILANO: STATS AND TRIVIA

Together with Opta, here are all the statistics ahead of Milan vs. Inter tomorrow at 18:30 CEST at San Siro

MILAN - At 18:30 CEST on Wednesday 4th April, the fixture from matchday 27 of the Serie A season will be played after it had to be rearranged. Together with Opta, here are all the stats and trivia from the match.

This will be the 168th Derby della Madonnina in Serie A, and with 62 wins, Inter have a better record than Milan, who've instead triumphed on 51 occasions. There have also been a total of 54 draws. The Nerazzurri notably have the edge when playing away derbies against the Rossoneri, with 32 wins to 27 defeats (24 draws).

Inter haven’t conceded in four straight matches and the last time that the team hit five consecutive clean sheets was in August 2005.

The Nerazzurri have scored eight in the last two league matches, as many as had been scored in the previous ten. Inter have scored 18 goals from set pieces, the fourth best record in the league in this category. Inter are the team who have hit the woodwork the most this campaign, with it occurring on 18 occasions. Milan on the other hand, have done so nine times, including twice in the reverse fixture against the Nerazzurri.

Mauro Icardi has scored four goals in the two most recent Milan derbies played in the league after he had gone without scoring in his first seven. Icardi has scored six in his last two Serie A matches, one fewer than he scored in the previous 13 appearances in the competition.

In the last round of fixtures, Icardi became the third player in Inter history to score at least 24 goals in at least two Serie A seasons after Stefano Nyers (1948-49, 1949-50 and 1950-51) and Giuseppe Meazza (1929-30 and 1930-31). Furthermore, the Argentine is just one away from his record total in a single Serie A season.

Antonio Candreva has played an active role in an Inter goal in all three of the derbies he’s been involved in as a Nerazzurri player. They are two goals and the assist for the first goal in the reverse fixture. Ivan Perisic made his Serie A debut in September 2015 against Milan. In the past three league matches against the Rossoneri, he has scored one and delivered three assists (two for Icardi and one for Candreva).

For Luciano Spalletti, this will be his 23rd match in Serie A against Milan. The Tuscan has a positive record against them overall with eleven wins, four draws and seven defeats. His last defeat at the hands of the Rossoneri in the league came in May 2006, since then he has drawn two and won eight, including the five most recent meetings.
