ANDREA BOCELLI RECEIVES THE PREMIO MEDITERRANEO 2018

A delegation from Inter Club Andria presented the tenor who has always been a big Nerazzurri fan with the award

LAJATICO (PI) – On his estate in Lajatico in the province of Pisa, Andrea Bocelli received a delegation from Inter Club Andria for the presentation of the Premio Mediterraneo 2018 which is reserved for people from the worlds of show business, culture and sport who proclaim their love for the “colours of the sky and the night.”

“My passion for the Nerazzurri colours was born during my college years when Helenio Herrera’s Grande Inter were winning everything in Italy and the world,” revealed the tenor while describing the unforgettable team in a whisper of “Sarti, Burgnich, Facchetti…” During the chat with his guests, Bocelli described how his entire family is passionate for the Nerazzurri colours: “Only my youngest who is five hasn’t yet picked up the passion. I’m working on in and I believe I’ll be able to pull it off.”

Bocelli remembered that night in Madrid with particular zeal. “I was with friends, the TV was on but I was listening to the match on the radio which was a few seconds ahead of the images on the screen. Because of this, I celebrated the goal early, ruining the surprise for my friends. That night left me on the verge of tears, the treble was a delight that nobody in Italy will be able to match.”

Andrea Bocelli thanked the inventor of the Premio Mediterraneo Marco Grassi and Inter Club Andria President Riccardo Cannone, saving a warm video message with greetings for all Inter fans in Puglia.

Among previous recipients, there were true Inter icons such as Massimo Moratti, Javier Zanetti, Beppe Bergomi, Marco Materazzi and Diego Milito along with famous fans like Roberto Vecchioni, Minister Ignazio La Russa, Paolo Bonolis and Fiorello.
