TURIN - Nerazzurri Sporting Director Piero Ausilio spoke to Premium Sport shortly ahead of the match away at Juventus. "We’ve already had lots of evidence of what we’re worth, we’re carrying a project forward," he said. "Today’s is an important match but it’s worth three points like the others, there are still a lot of matches to be played. I would take a lot of players from Juventus as they’re all great players, but at the same time, I’m convinced that ours are not less so, we’re here to play.
Ahead of the match, Ausilio spoke with Buffon for a long time. "We didn’t say anything in particular, we’ve known one another for a long time, he’s a friend and I asked what physical issue kept him out tonight."
Inter have had a very positive start to the season so far. "The appointment of Spalletti in May allowed us to work right form the start. He wanted to work straight away with these players without revolutionising the squad, he evaluated all of the players and now we’re carrying a shared project forward. We’re all working well together and the performances on the pitch confirm this."
Finally, there was a quip on Skriniar. "A clause to keep him? He’s only just arrived at Inter, he’s doing really well but let’s give him time to develop, he still has a lot to give."
