MILAN – The F.C. Internazionale Milano s.p.A Hall of Fame is born. It’s the institution with the task of collecting, taking custody of and spreading the sporting heritage and memory of the players who wore the club’s shirt since its founding year. The press conference to present it will be held on Saturday 2nd December at 14:00 CET, taking place at Inter Media House in the Suning Training Centre. Journalists will be able to enter from 13:45 CET onwards, although photographers will not be granted access. The event will be streamed live on Inter TV and the club's official Facebook page.
From the Inter Forever project which includes all of the players to have worn the Nerazzurri shirt in their career, the next step to a Hall of Fame was almost a compulsory one.
In the Inter Hall of Fame, players selected by fans, journalists, club employees and players from the world of Inter. To be eligible, players must:
- Have made at least 60 competitive appearances for Inter.
- Have won at least one trophy won with Inter.
- Has to have been retired for at least three years.
Only fans registered to the website will be able to express their preference for four players who made Inter history from 1908 today in the positions of goalkeeper, defender, midfielder and forward.
Fans will be central to the event. The fan vote will be worth 50 per cent in deciding which players enter the Hall of Fame and they’ll be announced during the course of the celebrations for the 110th anniversary. In addition to the fan vote, the club will also collect votes from:
- National and international media.
- Players from all of the Inter teams, from the Pulcini to the First Team.
- From Inter employees and collaborators.
- From existing Hall of Famers once they’ve been elected.
Votes will be open in all categories immediately through a new section of the official website and it will also be possible to vote through the Inter Official App. The dedicated section will also have information and statistics about the candidates and the option to share your choice on social media.
Each year, the club will honour the players selected and they will at times donate a memento to the club which links them to the world of Inter to enrich the history and heritage of the club and it will be made available for all fans to see.
