PRIMAVERA 1 TIM: INTER 1-0 HELLAS VERONA

A spectacular goal from Facundo Colidio helped the Under-19 Nerazzurri side secure all three points on Sunday

MILAN - During a day of torrential rain, Stefano Vecchi’s Inter side got back to winning ways during their Primavera 1 TIM match against Hellas Verona on Sunday, picking up an important three points after their recent four-goal victory in the UEFA Youth League. Played out at the Suning Youth Development Centre in memory of Giacinto Facchetti, the week eight encounter was won thanks to a fantastic finish from Colidio.

Despite the awful conditions, Inter were a threat when pushing forwards, with Facundo Colidio proving most dangerous on what was his first start for the Primavera side. He opened the scoring after some missed early chances from the Nerazzurri and did so in absolutely wonderful fashion. Latching onto a cross from Zaniolo, Inter’s No. 11 athletically leapt through the air to loop his right-footed volley past the goalkeeper.

Following the interval, Inter forced a number of more saves out of the opposition shot-stopper, who did incredibly well to keep the scoreline as it was. After three minutes of added time, the Under-19 Nerazzurri side eventually ran out 1-0 winners, picking up a win that now takes them to second place in the standings behind Atalanta.
