BENEVENTO - As usual, the Nerazzurri's sporting director Piero Ausilio spoke to Premium Sport just moments before kick-off, this time prior to Inter's matchday seven clash against Benevento: "Our coach knows that this squad can still grow significantly. We’ve already obtained some important results, but we know that we can still improve a lot. You need stability and continuity, a bit like Napoli have achieved over recent years, but we still need time. We’ve started this project together with a great coach and I am certain that we will soon start to see some results.”
He also briefly mentioned their plans for the transfer market after Vanheusden’s recent injury: “I am really disappointed for Zinho because he is a talented lad. However, we will keep calm until January and we’ll make any necessary evaluations then. We are looking at our squad and obviously we have scouts all around the world, although for now it is too early to make any definitive evaluations of our transfer market plans.”
Lastly, Ausilio also singled out Icardi: “Other than his unquestionable technical skills, he is also capable of ignoring all the rumours that surround him. Let’s not forget that over the past few years he’s had some physical problems, but beyond everything, I don’t think there is any point in questioning Mauro.”
