MILAN – Inter will face Chelsea in their last match at the International Champions Cup Singapore as part of the Inter Summer Tour on 29 July. The game will take place at the National Stadium in Singapore, with kick-off set for 19:35 local time.
Coached by former Italy boss Antonio Conte, Chelsea dominated the Premier League last season, racking up a record 30 league wins on their way to the title. In total, the Blues have won six Premier League titles, seven FA Cups, five League Cups, four Community Shields, one Champions League, two Cup Winners’ Cups, one Europa League and one UEFA Super Cup. It means that Chelsea are London’s most successful club at international level and the third most successful club in England after Liverpool and Manchester United.
Inter and Chelsea have faced off on just two occasions, in the Round of 16 of the 2010 Champions League. The Nerazzurri beat Chelsea 2-1 in the first leg at San Siro courtesy of goals from Diego Milito and Esteban Cambiasso, before Samuel Eto’o fired Inter to a 1-0 win over the Blues at Stamford Bridge in the return leg. It was a special occasion for Inter coach Jose Mourinho, who had previously been in charge at Chelsea.
