SAINSBURY FEATURES AS CHILE AND AUSTRALIA DRAW

The Nerazzurri defender played 72 minutes in the Confederations Cup game

MOSCOW – Chile and Australia played out a 1-1 draw in their final Group B match of the Confederations Cup. The Socceroos took the lead on 42 minutes through James Troisi, with Martin Rodriguez levelling on 67 minutes.

The result means Chile advance to the semi-finals, having finished second in the group behind Germany.

Trent Sainsbury started the match and played 72 minutes in the centre of Australia’s defence. Gary Medel, meanwhile, was on the bench for Chile.
