MILAN – In this week’s #ThrowBackThursday, we wind the clock back to 15 June 2005, when Inter won their fourth Coppa Italia.

The Nerazzurri welcomed Roma to a packed out San Siro, three days after their first leg win in the capital. Inter began proceedings with a 2-0 lead, thanks to Adriano’s double.

The second leg at the San Siro remained deadlocked until the second half. It was Sinisa Mihajlovic who opened the scoring, firing home a sumptuous free kick from over 30 yards on 52 minutes.

The Serbian’s strike secured the win for Inter, marking their first trophy in what proved to be a stellar period, which culminated in the Treble win in 2010.

Here’s the team that Roberto Mancini picked on the day: Toldo; Cordoba, Materazzi, Mihajlovic, Favalli (Gamarra 89); Zè Maria (Veron 87), C.Zanetti, Stankovic (Biava 93), Kily Gonzalez; Martins, Cruz.
