BARBOSA GALVANISED BY FANS' SUPPORT

"I'm getting better by the day with the help of the coach and my team-mates. Glad to get a runout today, especially as the fans are showing me so much love"

MILAN - Gabriel Barbosa has spoken of his satisfaction with the progress he's making at Inter, which he says is aided by Stefano Pioli, his team-mates and the San Siro faithful egging him on!

The Brazilian forward came on as a 76th-minute substitute against Pescara and, like in his previous outings at the Meazza, he was cheered on by the crowd whenever he got on the ball.

Speaking to Inter Channel after the match, he said: "I'm really glad I got a runout today, especially as the fans are showing me so much love.

"I had a chance to score but the keeper made a good save. I saw Eder next to me but he'd already scored one! I'm joking of course – it doesn't matter who scores as long as we keep winning.”

On the Serie A learning curve: “Italian football is different to the football we play back in Brazil. I'm improving physically and I'm pleased because I think I'm getting better by the day. The coach and my team-mates are helping. I'm glad to be in this team.”
