PALERMO – Joao Mario has spoken of his delight after bagging the winner to hand Inter a 1-0 victory over Palermo on Sunday afternoon.
"I’m delighted – this is a vital win for us, but now we need to focus on Pescara," the Portuguese told Sky Sport Italia after the final whistle at the Stadio Renzo Barbera.
"We’re playing well and we need to keep that up – we have a great side and it’s important we keep showing that. I’m very happy at Inter and get on with all my team-mates. I try to do my best and help the team," added Joao Mario.
Speaking to Inter Channel, Joao Mario admitted it had been a tough contest in Sicily.
"It wasn’t easy to play here," said the Nerazzurri man. "Candreva provided a great assist – this win is a real morale booster and we need to keep doing what we’re doing and sticking together. The last time I scored we didn’t get the win against Cagliari, so I’m really happy today."
