MILAN - Matchwinner Eder hailed Inter's win over Sparta Prague as a timely boost for the Nerazzurri, who will be looking to get their Serie A campaign back on track when Genoa visit at the weekend.
"This victory is good for morale and our confidence in the work we're doing with Pioli. It was important to win today to set us up well for Sunday's game against Genoa," the striker said after netting both goals in Inter's 2-1 Europa League success against the Czech outfit.
"We struggled a bit in the second half and I think it's up to the fans if they want to come to the stadium. Hopefully they'll be there on Sunday and get behind us because we need to get going again in the league.
"We can still turn things around because there are lots of games left to play. We're professionals and we have to believe. Inter haven't been doing great recently but I think with the squad we have here and a bit of confidence we can be successful."
Finally, Eder offered his view on strike partner Andrea Pinamonti, who laid on the assist for tonight's opener.
"He'll go a long way in the game. He moves well and he's got an eye for goal. He works hard in training with us and I'm sure he'll develop into a big player."
