EDER BRACE DOWNS SPARTA AT SAN SIRO

The Italy striker opens the scoring, Marecek equalises then Carrizo saves a penalty before Eder drills home a late winner

MILAN - Eder scored twice as Inter rounded off their Europa League campaign with a 2-1 victory over Sparta Prague at the Meazza.

Andrea Pinamonti set up the Brazil-born striker for the opening goal midway through the first half as the Nerazzurri bossed initial proceedings.

The visitors levelled the scores through Lukas Marecek early in the second period and had the chance to take the lead when David Lafata won a penalty, only for Juan Pablo Carrizo to pull out a superb stop to deny Borek Dockal.

Eder then grabbed the winner in the 90th minute with a fine finish from the edge of the box.

The result mattered little for the group but means the Nerazzurri at least head into Sunday's game against Genoa with a spring in their step.
