MILAN – In this week's Throwback Thursday, with the Milan derby just around the corner, we're going back 87 years to 10 November 1929 to remember a derby victory by Ambrosiana, as Inter was known during that period.
Umberto Visentin opened the scoring for Arpad Weisz's side as early as the sixth minute but Mariano Tansini pegged AC Milan level three minutes later. Giuseppe Meazza then popped up to head home what proved to be the winner in the 60th minute.
Inter went on to claim the Scudetto that season – our third league title – while Meazza ended the campaign as Serie A's top scorer with 31 goals.
