SOUTHAMPTON – Inter must continue to work hard if they are to reproduce the quality displays they have shown only on occasion this season, says Felipe Melo.
Speaking after Thursday's Europa League match in Southampton, the Brazilian also admitted the team felt frustrated to lose after a decent first-half showing.
"We're angry because we played with the right attitude and were compact in the first half but ended up losing," he told Inter Channel.
“They had two chances when we were caught napping and they scored two goals. It's tough to take but that's football.
“We just have to knuckle down now and win on Sunday. When we lost to Be'er Sheva we were booed off the pitch and then we beat Juventus.
“We have the ability and we need to show it – as we have done already in a few games.
“We're going through a bad spell but that can happen even to the best teams. We must work hard to get ourselves out of it.”
