D'AMBROSIO: "LET'S PICK OURSELVES UP NOW"

Danilo's post-match reaction: "We all go out there determined to fight but there's a lot of work to do and we're going to have to dig in"

SOUTHAMPTON – Danilo D'Ambrosio has admitted Inter are struggling to cope with the mental pressure after conceding in games but insists they are determined to keep fighting to and turn things around.

"We made a good start and played well in the first half, then they scored after the break and if you concede a goal when you're going through a period like this nine times out of ten you end up losing,” the Italian full-back explained after Thursday's game at Southampton.

"When you've been going through a hard time and come up against a side like Southampton – an excellent team who both physical and skilful –  once you concede the first goal it's hard to stay strong mentally and withstand the pressure from your opponents.

“We were desperate to win today. We all go out there determined to fight. We want to pick ourselves up but there's a lot of work to do and we're going to have to dig in.”
