SOUTHAMPTON - Inter's Europa League hopes suffered a blow on Thursday night as Southampton came from behind to win 2-1 at St. Mary's Stadium.
Mauro Icardi gave the Nerazzurri a first-half lead with a fine finish before Samir Handanovic came up trumps to keep out Dusan Tadic's spot kick on the stroke of half time.
However, the game turned on its head in five second-half minutes as Virgil van Dijk slotted home from close range to level the scores and Yuto Nagatomo unfortunately turned past Handanovic for what proved to be the winner.
