MILAN - Inter got their Europa League campaign off the ground as Antonio Candreva's wondrous finish was enough to beat Southampton on Thursday night.
The Italy forward latched into Davide Santon's low delivery midway through the second half and struck it clean into the top corner for his first goal in black and blue.
Samir Handanovic then made a crucial point-blank save to deny Saints substitute Charlie Austin late on as Inter earned a much-needed win that keeps them in the running to qualify from Group K.
