MILAN - Sporting director Piero Ausilio spoke to Sky Italia shortly before tonight's match against Southampton. Here's what he had to say:
"The Icardi situation is in the past now and he's got a five-year contract. We just need to focus on the match at hand. Inter have to focus on one game at a time. Fortunately we're playing two games a week at the moment so we have a chance to make up for the poor result on Sunday straight away. With a win tonight we'll still be in the running to qualify from the group."
On De Boer and the running of the club: "You're always going to have difficulties when you come in right before the start of the season - even an Italian coach would have. His assistants know the Italian league very well and we have complete faith in them and in the coach's ideas.
"The club management are close to the team and the owners will be here next week and they're very supportive. We discussed the Icardi matter as a club. We have the right set-up in place to make Inter great."
