#TBT, GUARIN ON FIRE AS INTER PUT FOUR PAST ATALANTA

We wind the clock back two seasons to relive a recent 4-1 triumph in Bergamo

MILAN – With the Nerazzurri preparing to visit Atalanta on Sunday, in this week's Throwback Thursday we glance into the not-so-distant past to look at a big Inter win in Bergamo.

Two seasons ago, on 15 February 2015, Roberto Mancini's side travelled to the Stadio Atleti Azzurri d'Italia dressed in white to face Stefano Colantuono's Atalanta. The match was barely 60 seconds old when Fredy Guarin set out his stall by winning a penalty, which was duly converted by Xherdan Shaqiri.

The hosts found an equaliser in the 27th minute but the Colombian had decided it was to be his day and restored Inter's lead before the interval with an unstoppable long-range strike.

Guarin added another shortly after the hour mark as he curled in beyond Marco Sportiello's reach.

Two goals and a man down following Yohan Benalouane's red card, Atalanta struggled to contain the Nerazzurri and Rodrigo Palacio made it 4-1 to seal Inter's first victory in Bergamo in seven years.
