MILAN – In the week that ends with Inter v Cagliari on Sunday afternoon, we've picked out an appropriate memory for today's #ThrowbackThursday.
On 13 October 1974, Luis Suarez's Inter hosted Cagliari at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza. Roberto Boninsegna was undoubtedly the star of the day, scoring four goals to win the game for the Nerazzurri.
The Italian striker opened his account for the day after just ten minutes with a great shot from distance. His second and third were carbon copies of each other, two bullet headers that left the opposing keeper with no chance. Boninsegna grabbed his fourth in the 81st minute when he struck a free kick into the net from outside the area to seal a 4-1 Inter victory.
