APPIANO GENTILE – Javier Zanetti hosted the family of former Livorno midfielder Piermario Morosini, who passed away in tragic circumstances back in 2012, at the Centro Sportivo Angelo Moratti in Appiano Gentile on Wednesday.
Morosini’s family presented Zanetti with the late midfielder’s No.25 shirt, with the Inter vice president declaring it "a jersey I will keep with pride".
Zanetti also explained why he had invited the family to join him at the training ground.
"We played each other three times, but we never got the chance to swap shirts," began the Inter legend. "I know it was something Piermario wanted to do, so it’s an honour and a privilege for me to meet his family and accept his No.25 shirt."
