ROME – The Inter Club Committee for the Lazio region recently held a gala dinner to officially launch a fundraising campaign to help the communities affected by the recent earthquake in central Italy.

A special fund has been set up and is designed to become the sole point of focus for all donations that any Inter Club members or general Inter fans wish to make.

The money raised will be used to fund a project involving Inter Clubs from the affected areas.

During the dinner –  which took place in the conference room at the Circolo Ufficiali Pio IX, made available by the Italian army – there were several other fundraising initiatives launched, to supplement the funds generated by the dinner itself.

"It was an evening for us to come together for a truly worthy cause," explained regional coordinator Mauro Basilico. "Lots of clubs are already working hard to raise funds for this project, which we want to ensure is as effective and useful as possible."

Inter Club Manager Nicola Ranieri echoed Basilico’s sentiments: "The creation of this fund is a way of bringing together the many charitable initiatives our Inter Clubs organise every year. We’d like to invite all Inter Clubs and indeed anyone wishing to make a gesture to support the Inter Club Committee for Lazio’s campaign."

If you’d like to make a donation, the details of the fund are as follows:
