MILAN – Following the draw with Bologna, Andrea Ranocchia stressed the importance of Inter’s upcoming Europa League match.
“We now have to think about the Europa League, because we need to make up for the previous game, which did not go well. Then we’ll look ahead to Roma.
“What I know for sure is that I'm working a great deal, outside of training and beyond football,” he adds.
“I’m giving everything to get into the best shape possible. This is one small step and there is still a lot to do.”
The Nerazzurri defender was exhausted after the game and says it was a shame to drop two points.
“We have to take the positives from today’s match, however, following the goal we had Bologna penned in for almost the entire match. After the first 20 minutes we showed tremendous grit and I think if we carry on like this, we will go far.”
Ranocchia was also full of praise for the Inter fans: “Their support during the game is so important. It gives us strength we didn’t know we had, it’s a beautiful thing, but I’m really sorry we couldn’t give the fans three points.”
