EMPOLI – Assane Gnoukouri made his first appearance of this season tonight when he came on in place of Geoffrey Kondogbia midway through the second half.
"I'm happy that I'm back playing after so many months," he declared to Inter Channel. "We've got a lot of hard work to do in order to stay up there in the league. There's a good bunch of players here.
"The coach told me to be calm and I'm happy with how I came on. I'm delighted with the victory."
