HANDANOVIC ALREADY FOCUSING ON BOLOGNA

The Nerazzurri goalkeeper was speaking to Inter Channel after this evening's win: "We're pleased with the win and the clean sheet"

EMPOLI Samir Handanovic had two reasons to be happy tonight: his team came away with three points and he kept a clean sheet to boot.

The Nerazzurri No.1 began his post-match interview with a comment on Empoli's Federico Dimarco, on loan from Inter: "He did well at the Euros for his age group, he's developing."

Then onto the match itself: "We're pleased with the win and that we didn't concede. This game may have been different to the Juventus one but the approach was the same. We pushed hard to score in the first half and there was perhaps a bit of tiredness in the second.

"We can't expect to hit top form straight away. We work hard during the week and we're eradicating the mistakes out of our game.

"It was important to win today, just as it was on Sunday. We said to ourselves that we had to win to ensure the result against Juventus wasn't in vain."
