MILAN – Luis Nazario de Lima Ronaldo is today celebrating his 40th birthday.
Born in Bento Ribeiro on 22 September 1976, the Brazilian striker scored 59 goals in just 99 games for the Nerazzurri.
Ronaldo – who is considered one of the greatest players ever to play the game – spent five seasons at Inter between 1997 and 2002. He helped the Nerazzurri win the UEFA Cup in his first season with the club, scoring in the 3-0 win over Lazio in the final. Ronaldo was awarded the Ballon d’Or after his 1997 heroics.
