MILAN – Antonio Candreva has urged Inter to aim high after they beat Juventus 2-1 in the Derby d’Italia on Sunday night.
"We played the perfect match tonight and that’s what you need against Juventus,” the Italian told reporters after the match. "It gives our confidence a boost but we have another game in three days and we know that our approach has been wrong against the so-called smaller teams. We need to build on this win.
"We’re Inter and we can’t put limits on ourselves. We need to try to win every game and then we can take stock. We need to play like this every time we take to the field – humble and determined," declared Candreva.
Candreva said that the whole group was behind Dutch coach Frank de Boer.
"The coach has had a tough start in terms of results, but we’ve always worked hard and been willing to do what De Boer says. We need time, but we’ll kick on from this result and see how far we can go. As of tomorrow we need to put this fantastic result behind us and focus on Empoli and the rest."
