APPIANO GENTILE – Inter Primavera defender Zinho Vanheusden is the focus of tonight’s first episode of Inter Football Academy, Inter Channel’s brand-new show on the Nerazzurri youth academy.
On tonight’s show, the young Belgian centre-back reveals some of the secrets of his journey to Inter.
"My dad played in Belgium’s top division – he was a left back. He follows my career and always gives me lots of advice," says Vanheusden. "I’ve come on so much here in Italy. We work really hard, especially on tactics.
"I’ve always played for Belgium since I was a youngster. But I love it here and I think it’s vital for the development of a young player to go and test yourself against the best in other countries. It gives you experience."
Vanheusden also speaks about his life in Milan.
"I really like Milan. It’s a fantastic city and the climate is ideal. My dream is to play for the Inter first team. I got here when I was 16 and it wasn’t easy at first because I didn’t speak the language, but everyone helped me and I settled in quickly.
"My favourite match was the Allievi derby, which we won 3-0. It was amazing."
