MILAN – F.C. Internazionale is delighted to announce the signing of Antonio Candreva from Lazio.
The Italian winger has agreed a contract that will keep him at the club until 30 June 2020.
"I am really happy and proud to be here," Candreva declared. "I always wanted Inter and I'm really excited to become a Nerazzurri player at last.
"I'd like to thank Lazio for the seasons we spent together and for giving me the chance to realise this dream.
"I can't wait to play at San Siro and feel the passion of the Inter fans."
This is the first major signing made under the new majority ownership of Suning and reinforces the strategy of bringing Italian players to the club to strengthen the team.
“I am very happy to welcome Antonio to Inter,” said President Erick Thohir. “I am sure he will prove a great addition to what is already a very strong squad."
Candreva actually began his Serie A career against Inter while playing for Udinese, in a goalless draw on 27 January 2008.
Since then, the 29-year-old Rome native has picked up 238 appearances and 48 goals in the top flight.
He has also represented his country on 40 occasions, scoring four goals.
