MANCINI: "GOOD FIRST HALF HOUR, LET'S KEEP IT UP"

The boss's verdict after Estudiantes: "We played well and deserved to score a few more. We need to keep playing as we did in the first part of the game"

HARRISON - Roberto Mancini has urged his side to reproduce the sort of football he saw from them in the first half against Estudiantes.

The Nerazzurri started off with the bit between their teeth at Red Bull Arena on Wednesday night, taking a 5th-minute lead through Nagatomo and creating a host of further opportunities in the opening period before being pegged prior to the interval.

A more subdued performance ensued after the break as the friendly at Red Bull Arena finished 1-1.

"We played well and deserved to score a few more," the coach began in his post-match analysis. "After the game I told the lads to keep playing the way we did in the first half an hour because we were good. We're playing with the same players all the time at the moment and they're a bit tired."

The boss was then asked about his reported ill ease and possible incoming and outgoing transfers.

"I've never said I'm unhappy. You guys are the ones saying I want to quit. I'm working to improve Inter. We'll see what the team looks like at the end of the transfer window.

"Would Candreva improve Inter? He's a Lazio player.

"Icardi? He didn't play today because he wasn't over his back problem.

"Am I happy Thohir has declared Icardi not for sale? I'm the coach and he's the president. I don't need to be happy. He's entitled to say what he thinks is best."
