BRUNICO - As he prepares to embark on a new season, Gary Medel is hoping to emulate his recent success with Chile by lifting a trophy with Inter.
"I'm happy to be back at Inter with my team-mates. We're determined to prepare really well for the new season," the midfielder told Inter Channel, two days after reporting back for pre-season in Brunico, where he joins the club's other internationals.
In June, Medel tasted Copa America glory with his national side for the second year running, facing off against future Nerazzurri team-mate Ever Banega in the final against Argentina.
"We spoke about him joining Inter when we met in the States. Argentina had a great tournament but we won it in the end, and I think deservedly so," the 28-year-old added.
Now Medel is hungry for more success - in black and blue.
"We're raring to go. We're grafting really hard because we want to reach our targets and win something. We're going to put everything into it."
