BEAVERTON – Inter paid a visit to Nike World Headquarters in Beaverton, Oregon on Thursday.
Players and staff were welcomed to the home of F.C. Internazionale's technical sponsor and met Lopez Lomong, an American Olympic athlete originally from Sudan. Abducted at the age of six, he managed to escape and run to the Kenyan border. Ten years later he arrived in the States and became a professional athlete.
Following a tour of the facilities, the Nerazzurri trained on a pitch in the middle of the campus, near Ronaldo Field, and finished up with a training match and autograph session for employees and their families.
Afterwards Danilo D'Ambrosio, Geoffrey Kondogbia and Stevan Jovetic got to grips with some state-of-the-art technology at Nike's Sport Research Lab, testing their sensory and reaction skills then having personalised 3D scans of their feet.
