RISCONE DI BRUNICO – Roberto Mancini acknowledged that his side need to do more after they were beaten 2-1 by CSKA Sofia on Thursday evening.
"We have lots of youngsters here so you can accept not winning. The most important thing in these matches is to not get injured after some intense training sessions. In any case, we need to give a bit more," said Mancini.
"In the first half the lads did well, not so much in the second half. We never like losing but the result isn’t important. You can enjoy yourself a bit more in these matches.
"The most important thing is to get playing time under your belt. We’ve done some good work, but we could have done better in the game today. We have some more matches in America and we’ll work even harder in the first week in Portland," added the Inter boss.
Asked about new signing Caner Erkin, Mancini replied: "The objective with Erkin is to integrate into the group."
Finally, Mancini was asked about Inter’s transfer plans: "I’ve spoken with CEO Michael Bolingbroke about many things."
