MANCINI: "FIRST FEW DAYS THE MOST EXHAUSTING"

"I told them not to push themselves today, we don't want any injuries." Read the boss's reaction to Inter v Wattens

RISCONE DI BRUNICO - Roberto Mancini gave his verdict after the Nerazzurri's first pre-season friendly against Austrian side WSG Wattens.

"All the lads have had an overload of work and I specifically told them not to push themselves out there today because we don't want anyone picking up an injury,” the boss explained on Inter Channel.

“The first few days of pre-season are the most exhausting. We mainly do physical work in the morning while in the afternoon we use the ball more.

The coach also had a few words to say about the many youngsters training with the first team.

"They've all got plenty of promise but we need to see how they get on when they play with the bigger boys.”

Finally, he commented on the support of the Nerazzurri faithful in Brunico.

“The fans have been great – Inter fans always are. They're good at showing their love for our colours.”
