RISCONE DI BRUNICO - Danilo D'Ambrosio reflected on the first few days of pre-season training after Saturday's friendly against WSG Wattens.
"We're doing some really intensive training. The workloads are heavy and you could see the result of that today. I've got a good feeling though," the defender told Sky Sport Italia.
The Nerazzurri full-back was fielded in a more central role against today's Austrian opposition.
"I try to give a good account of myself wherever the boss wants to field me. When you pull on the Inter shirt you have to give 100%.
"We need to pull out all the stops if we want to close the gap with Juventus. We worked really hard to earn a Europa League spot last year and now we'll try to win it and qualify for the Champions League."
What about earning an Italy call-up? "Yes, that's still something I think about and would like to achieve."
