BRUNICO – Danilo D’Ambrosio has told Mediaset Premium that Inter will be aiming for the very top in the upcoming campaign.
Speaking from the Nerazzurri’s pre-season training camp in Brunico, the Inter full-back cut a determined figure as he ran the rule over the season ahead.
"We’ve started well. It’s important to get off the ground running when the league starts so we need to make sure we’re training hard now. Anyone who wears the Inter shirt needs to be aiming for the top."
The Italian then commented on the arrivals of Ever Banega, Cristian Ansaldi and Caner Erkin.
"Banega is a great player who’ll bring technical skill and experience to the team. Let’s hope he can help us to achieve our objectives.
"There's more competition with Ansaldi and Erkin but you have to fight for a starting spot every year. It’s a good thing, especially this season given that we’re playing in the Europa League too.
"The boss is really motivated. He wants us to achieve the objectives we missed out on last year. You’re motivated to do well by the jersey you wear.
"Inter should always be challenging at the top of the table. The Champions League is the primary objective but if possible of course we want to try and go one better."
