From his match-winning stunner against Atalanta to the rasping strike against Napoli in the Coppa Italia, let’s relive the Montenegrin forward’s 2015/16 season

MILAN Stevan Jovetic finished his first season at Inter with a respectable return of seven goals in 28 games.

A signing that got the Nerazzurri fans’ pulses racing right from the off, the Montenegrin forward chose the best possible way to introduce himself to his new supporters in Inter’s season opener against Atalanta.

With the scores locked at 0-0 and normal time well and truly up, Jovetic received a throw-in from Miranda on the left, cut in and unleashed an unstoppable effort into the top-right corner of the net to secure a 1-0 win for Inter.

He was again decisive a week later against Carpi, scoring both Inter goals in a 2-1 away win.

Jovetic’s season highlights continue with the wonderful right-footed curler he scored away at Napoli in the Coppa Italia quarter-final win, providing the Montenegrin with some consolation after he was denied by the post when the sides met in the league.

Also deserving of a mention are his performances against Udinese: Jovetic scored three goals in total over the two games, including a memorable chested effort at San Siro on 23 April.
