MILAN – It’s Throwback Thursday time again and this week we’re casting our minds back to 8 June 1978, when Inter beat Napoli in the Coppa Italia final to win the competition for the second time in the club’s history.
For the final - which took place thirty-eight years ago - Eugenio Bersellini’s Nerazzurri team-sheet read Cipollini, Canuti, Fedele, Baresi, Gasparini, Bini, Scanziani, Oriali, Altobelli, Marini and Muraro. Napoli took the lead after just six minutes through Restelli, but Altobelli equalised in the 18th minute before Bini added an 87th-minute winner to send the Inter fans wild.
