MILAN – Jeison Murillo proved to be an instant success at Inter, making 34 league appearances and scoring two goals in his debut season at the club.
The Colombian struck up an excellent partnership with Miranda to help shore up the Nerazzurri backline: the team conceded 10 fewer goals than in 2014/15 and ended the campaign with Serie A's third best defensive record and 15 clean sheets.
The No.24, who played more than 3000 minutes over the course of the year, was applauded off the pitch after making an impressive debut in Inter's opening-day win against Atalanta.
Indeed, he seemingly took no time to settle in and went on to play a pivotal role as Inter recorded eight clean sheets in their first 12 games.
Murillo opened his account for the club in Week 13, scoring Inter's third in a 4-0 win over Frosinone following a delightful backheel by Stevan Jovetic.
