MILAN – There was a familiar face at Inter Store Milano on Thursday as former Nerazzurri defender Marco Materazzi paid the store in Galleria Passarella 2 a quick visit ahead of Friday’s official inauguration.
"It’s lovely, a new home for Nerazzurri products in the heart of Milan," Materazzi told Inter Channel. "As soon as I came in I found myself with my old No.23 jersey in my hands. I’m proud to have worn it and honoured by the way I’m remembered."
With just two days before the 2015/16 Champions League final takes place in Milan, it was impossible not to ask the former Inter defender about that wonderful Madrid night in 2010.
"It was an unforgettable moment, the highlight of my career because it was the only thing I hadn’t won and I managed to get it with the team I’d fought for for so many years. It couldn’t have gone any better," he said.
