MILAN – Stefano Vecchi spoke to Inter Channel after his side's great victory against cross-city rivals AC Milan that earned qualification for the Final Eight.
"Qualifying for the Final Eight is a big achievement. It wasn't easy, we were slow to start with but then we got into our stride and the team put on a mature performance today in terms of temperament and ability in Milan's backyard.
"We knew that a draw would be enough and it was a risky game, but the players always step out onto the pitch to win. Today was like another final for them.
"We've still got some things to improve on and iron out a few defects to our game but I don't have anything to criticise my players for.
"I hope they're all able to recuperate ahead of the Final Eight and we'll go into it with a full squad because last year we paid the price for a few injuries."
