MILAN – Inter U15 drew with AC Milan in today's rearranged Week 17 fixture at the Centro Sportivo Giacinto Facchetti.
Inter move onto 44 points in the league, narrowing the gap on Atalanta in top spot while maintaining a two-point cushion on the Rossoneri in third.
The game was a balanced affair played predominantly in midfield. The visitors took the lead in the 26th minute from a penalty. The Nerazzurri restored parity seven minutes into the second half after Edoardo Vergani finished off a flowing move and the result was unchanged at the final whistle.
Stefano Bellinzaghi's boys barely had time to draw breath after the Milan Derby before being whisked off for the first-ever "We Love Football" tournament beginning in Bologna tomorrow.
The Under-15 competition will pit the Nerazzurri against renowned teams such as Atletico Madrid, Liverpool, Anderlecht, Ajax, Zenit Saint Petersburg and Borussia Dortmund.
Inter have been drawn in Group C and play Atletico Madrid on Thursday, NK Lokomotiva on Friday and Bologna on Saturday. The semi-finals will be contested on Easter Sunday and the following day will host the final on Monday 28 March.
