MILAN – The Nerazzurri U18s brushed aside Pistoiese at the Centro Sportivo Giacinto Facchetti today to rack up a third straight league success and maintain their grip on top spot.
Salvatore Cerrone's side took the lead in the 17th minute after Vago won a penalty, the forward then dusting himself down and duly converting from the spot. Inter held onto their 1-0 advantage until the interval, although Di Gregorio was called upon to produce a magnificent stop to deny the visitors an equaliser.
Maggioni added a second for Inter on the hour mark, after which the Nerazzurri set about controlling the match and kept it tight despite playing the last 20 minutes a man light following Picozzi's second yellow card.
