TELLES EYEING VICTORY OVER FIORENTINA

Brazilian chats to Inter Channel: "Nagatomo and I have to get forward and put crosses in. We're working hard and we're determined to make sure we win"

APPIANO GENTILE – Alex Telles says Inter will be focused solely on victory when they travel to Fiorentina for their next Serie A fixture on Sunday.

The evening kick-off at the Stadio Franchi sees third-placed Fiorentina pitted against Inter, currently in fourth, and the Brazilian full-back admits it's a big match for both sides.

"It's a massive game because we're only one point behind them," Telles told Inter Channel. "We have to go to Florence and think of nothing but winning it. It's really important. We have to turn our results around, play better and come away with a win."

As the Nerazzurri resumed training today after a two-day rest, the 23-year-old spoke about how he finds working with Roberto Mancini and how he is adapting to the Italian game.

"We spend all week on the training ground with the gaffer and we have to make sure we reproduce the things he asks us to do in the week on matchday. Nagatomo and I have to get forward and put crosses in. We're working hard and we're determined to do even more to make sure we win.

"It's natural to me to push up and send the ball in but we Brazilians need to pay a bit more attention to the defensive phase because it's really important in Italy. We have to concentrate on the tactical aspects.

"It's great to have so many fellow Brazilians here because we all speak the same language on the pitch. I'm learning loads from the guys who have been at Inter for a while, like Juan who's been here four years now. I'm here to put in the work and I want to do my job well."
