MILAN - The Nerazzurri '04 side leave for Puglia today where they will compete in the 13th edition of Gallipoli's Torneo Carnevale. The competition, also known as the Coppa Santa Maria di Leuca, is very prestigious in the Esordienti age group and F.C. Internazionale are regulars, as well as reigning champions.
Fabio Sacco's youngsters have been drawn in Group A and will make their bow against Leeds United tomorrow at 10:30 at the Stadio San Vito in Tricase. Then on Saturday they play Eurosport Brindisi at the Stadio Nino De Santis in Poggiardo (kick-off 11:00). The Nerazzurri's final group game is on Sunday 7 February against Capo di Leuca in Castignano del Capo (kick-off 11:00).
The quarter-finals begin on the morning of Monday 8 February, with the semi-finals later that day. Monday also sees the plate finals to determine 9th to 28th position. The tournament draws to a close on Tuesday with the third-place play-off (kick-off 09:00), before the final at 11:00 at the Stadio Antonio Bianco in Gallipoli. Some of the other groups feature sides including AC Milan, Juventus, Roma, Torino, Atalanta, Sassuolo and Eintracht Frankfurt.
