MILAN - Inter Youth Coach Master is back for a second run after the success of its inaugural edition. The high level academy coaching course was unveiled today in the press conference room at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza.
The start of the event focused on the partnership with Nike and specifically the "Most Wanted" project which officially begins on 8 February.
Nerazzurri youth academy director Roberto Samaden then took the floor: "I'm very proud to be here today to present the second edition of the Inter Youth Coach Master programme. The response we got from last year's course was positive and we're pleased with the work done and the feedback from the coaches who took part. As can be seen with the creation of the Inter Grassroots Program, our aim is to lend our expertise in order to build something significant in the development of both players and coaches. We must continue to do so and involve our own coaches, just like with Inter Academy who - thanks to the hard work of Marco Monti - are exporting our academy's coaching methodology throughout the world."
"This has been a long process and we are here to recount our experiences in the academy," added Giuliano Rusca, head coach of the grassroots section. "None of us has any secrets because you develop through dialogue and being willing to improve. Our aim is to come together and see football through the same eyes and that's what we'll do via this course, just as the club did with the centres of excellence and the Inter Grassroots Program, the latest project from the Inter family."
"We gained lots of experience in youth development before going down this path," concluded Stefano Bellinzaghi, Inter Under-15 coach and an instructor on the course. "We launched the Inter Youth Coach Master last year to go into greater detail on every area that an academy coach is involved in. The sessions, organised over seven workshops, focus both on planning and field work."
